Here, opportunities for new insights into processes and bio-materials based on utilization of synchrotron light were highlighted. Experimental set-ups and application procedures were discussed. Discussions and networking continued during dinner at Elite hotel Ideon.
On the following day, introduced by Hannes Vomhoff (Holmen) and Fredrik Wernersson-Brodin (Södra) – who emphasized the importance of networking, of combining deep and broad knowledge, out-of box thinking and not the least the importance of thermodynamics for processing research – the research projects were presented and discussed. Initial results and future plans were shown. The sessions were moderated both by industrial partners and the academic researchers and triggered discussions covering technical, as well as fundamental questions, both highly relevant for continued work.
